Ft Myers Charities | News & Notes Fall 2012

 It's been a long, tough summer for local Lee County food banks and soup kitchens.  In the absence of our generous visitors from the north, and the fact that SW Florida is still hard hit by the recession, resources are running a good deal lower than normal this year!  Please find it in your heart, if you are able, to make a donation to one of the many food banks, soup kitchens, churches, or other charitable organizations here in our area!

The Boston Red Sox are holding it's inaugural "Swings For The Sox" Golf tournament on Saturday, September 28th, 2012.  All funds raised will go toward The Red Sox Foundation's local non profit efforts.  For more information call 239-226-4783

The Fort Myers Beach Community Foundation has announced it will be holding the 1st Annual Fort Myers Beach "Charity Ball" at the Diamond Head Beach Resort & Spa on November 17th 2012 from 6:00 until 11:00 p.m..  Proceeds to benefit several local charities.  For more information follow this link:
